Friday: As we had done in the past we flew in early Friday as usual and after a quick lunch we hit the expo and wow it was already crazy on Friday. I of course hit up the marathon gear and bought a shirt for O and my jacket.
Saturday: Busy day! Matt and I took a walk to watch some of the other BAA races then walked through the Memorial. Wow, what an emotional exhibit. It was amazing to see the support worldwide and knowing how runners are united everywhere.

Then lunch and best salad I have ever had! Vlora Boston had a great vegetarian/vegan/gluten free menu and options for meat eaters too. Kale salad with beets and squash, yum! Then my weekend highlight, look who I met! Listening to him talk was great, he is real and shared so much about how he perseveres through tough runs and mentally survives tough races.
Next up amazing lunch with friends, another Boston gluten free recommendation, Davio. The best gluten free gnocchi I've ever had and they were so knowledgeable about the food and able to adapt to diet needs. Then an evening to relax, fuel up for marathon Monday and attempt to sleep as the guy in the room next door thought having loud conversations on speaker phone was a great idea at 1am! I bet he was sorry at 5am when I was watching TV and getting ready to go!
