  4. Fave birthday memory. My 40th. My birthday is on New Years Day so it is often forgotten in the holiday hoopla. For my 40th, my husband took me to Magic Kingdom and I enjoyed the best fireworks of my life. Fun, romantic, just the best.

  13. I'm a huge fan of the flavor of pistachio and one birthday (I think 19?) I remember going up to my grandparent's house (the lived above us) and walked in the kitchen to see my grandparents sitting at the kitchen table, one shelling pistachios and the other chopping them up to make me a special pistachio birthday cake. It was the sweetest thing.

  22. Ok - it was a really long time ago. It was for my 6th birthday party. My parents said we couldn't afford to have a birthday party with all my friends then said, well, let's just go up to Showbiz Pizza (now Chuck E-Cheese) and see how much it costs. When we got there, I started seeing all my friends and I asked who's birthday it was. It was my surprise party :)

So I come up early, enjoyed a gorgeous morning, and just took my sweet time running along the Pacific Ocean. I wasn't stressing about my pace; I was just running to commemorate my birthday and the miracle of me :) It was a great start to a new year.

But yes, I always run for my bday. If there's not a race on or around it, then I set out for a nice easy jog. That's what I did this year.
