Marathon Weekly- Ready to Get Back

Coffee & macarons

Week 2 was not my final appointment like I hoped, while I to continue to feel better I’m not 100% yet so a few more easy days ahead. I had another week of intense studying and limited “good” workouts but that’s all changing! The frustration is huge right now as I am in the midst of yet another less than ideal marathon training L I am hoping for a good year of racing but it is halfway through and nothing great yet.

Monday: Morning walk with puppy and zoo day with O.
Tuesday: Morning spin, strength with trainer, 3Mile Run on AlterG, Easy 5 Mile Run with group
Wednesday: Much needed run walk to take study break: 5 Miles and core work
Thursday: Morning strength and walk with puppy and Evening run with MRTT group
Friday:  Morning spin (run to/from gym for 3.5 miles)
Saturday: 12 mile easy run
Sunday: 8 Mile run (to/from playground), core and evening 1 Mile walk

Week 3 I am running half #6 this Thursday and hoping to get back under 1:40 for the first time this year. Like I mentioned on Friday July 1st is also the day I have decided as my new start, no more slacking, no more junk eating! I need to stop junk running and focus on quality workouts again.

Monday: Morning walk with puppy, afternoon ?? (cross train)
Tuesday: Morning spin strength with trainer, Easy Evening Run with group
Wednesday: Walk and either swim or kick boxing
Thursday: Half Marathon! Afternoon Strength
Friday:  Morning spin (run to/from gym for 3.5 miles)
Saturday: 10 mile easy run

Sunday: Bike and strength

As I get back to "real" training I need to keep focus on my running love and enjoy the process. Be sure to check back later this week for big news and a giveaway.

Happy July! Wow, can you believe it is already July! How was your week in running?

  1. Cannot believe that it is July already!! Time is FLYING! My training this week was horrible. I blame it on being out of town for four days and then recovering yesterday. Hopefully this week is much better!

    1. Yes, July is usually a great running month here. Last 4th they cut the half to 5 miles since it was 80+ and high humidity at the 6am start, yuck!
